The fork milling head has the ability to simultaneously position the cutter in space by controlling the A-axis and the C-axis at the same time. At the heart of every CYMILL milling head works a CYSPEED motor spindle, developed and manufactured in-house by CYTEC. The modular spindle kit covers 13 to 115 kW rated power (S1), rated torques up to 700 Nm – up to 1,200 Nm with planetary gear – and speeds up to 24,000 rpm, with HSK-A63, HSK-A100, SK50 and C8 tool interfaces. This in-house spindle development is a key reason for the precision and reliability of CYMILL heads.
